Description
Dr. Maier is a native of Anderson, Indiana. He obtained his bachelor of arts degree at Indiana University, as well as his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine. He did his postgraduate training in internal medicine at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina, and at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. He did his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is on the staff of Community Hospital Anderson and in private practice in Anderson. He served as chief of the Department of Medicine at Community Hospital Anderson in 1989 and was the medical director of Community Digestive Center until 2015. He is married and has four children and two stepchildren.
